Spanish Parade stands at Emigrant Spring Ranch located in the pristine foothills of the Sierra Mountains. The 120 acre ranch, situated in the green and gold rolling hills of Grass Valley, CA, is a full training facility and home to show jumper Sarah Ballou and her husband Sandy. The facility boasts acres of winding trails as well as full care board and training. Sarah is a Grand Prix rider who imported Spanish Parade as a seven year old from Ireland in 1999.

Spanish Parade is a registered Anglo-European Sport Horse. He was points away from jumping into the Grade A jumpers in Ireland when Sarah imported him. Sarah Ballou and Spanish Parade had much success in the Grand Prix arenas in California, Oregon, and at Spruce Meadows in Canada. His temperament is quiet and good natured-one can see him ridden on trails of the ranch and willing to jump around a Grand Prix course in a “happy mouth” snaffle. It is for this reason, amateur rider Elizabeth Radakovich recently purchased Spanish Parade. His superb temperament and conformation make him ideally suited to breed uncomplicated progeny that are sound, athletic and balanced. Irish showjumping legend Eddie Macken once referred to Spanish Parade as having “the heart of a lion.. is the spitting image of his sire.” His progeny have excelled in Three-day Eventing in Ireland and are destined to excel in the world of the show jumping in the United States. With these qualities his offspring should have huge market potential.
